Alternative Inks For Printers
Its pretty amazing to think about how complex your modern computer printer is and even more amazing is how manufacturers can deliver these marvels at such a sensible cost base. Your new computer printer prints away quite merrily and then comes that fateful day hat you have to buy inkjet re-fills and funnily enough the ink costs nearly as much as the whole printer, so how can that be.
Call me a cynic but I think its all part of the big scheme of things buy the manufacturers, they suck you in with cheap unit pricing then suck you dry for your ink replacements, talk about daylight robbery. Fortunately there are some alternatives to buying the super expensive "original" ink replacements.
Online retailers typically offer you savings on inkjet printer cartridges in two different ways. First, you can save money on the same name-brand OEM products that you would be able to buy at any traditional office supply store. And
a second way that you can reduce your printing supply costs is by ordering remanufactured inkjet printer cartridges.
As the name would imply, these are recycled inkjet printer cartridges that do not have a brand name attached to them. Instead, the used products are thoroughly cleaned, inspected, and electronically tested to ensure that everything is in working order. Then, they are refilled with quality ink and sold to customers with compatible printers.
The re-manufacturing process has come a long way in recent years, and users report that these inkjet printer cartridges work just as well — if not better than — OEM products. And, according to an article that appeared on the USA Today website, re-manufactured inkjet printer cartridges are often sold for up to 85 percent less than their OEM counterparts.
