Backup Windows Vista
It has never been more important to backup your computer. the reason is simple if you actually think about it. Ask yourself this. Have you purchased any music online? Do you have family pictures on your computer? What about word or excel documents? As we use our computers more and more it is important you take the time to backup your computer.
When it comes to backing up your computer you have many different options. You could go out and buy an external hard drive and manually copy over your data once or twice a month. Another simple way is to just burn the data to a DVD or cd. Be sure to keep the disks in a safe place. If possible make two copies. One for off site storage like a family members place. The reason for this is just incase your house burns or get flooded. Many people like having that external hard drive. The reason is two fold. First they can take the data with them if they need to. It also provides a little more protection because if your computer hard drive crashes then your data will not be compromised. You should look at your systems configuration. Many new computers have two hard drives in stalled. If that is the case then you do not really need the external one but it is still nice to have.
Windows Vista does have a built in data backup feature. The main issue with this is it does not provide a full data backup. If you can afford the 50 bucks then consider Acronis as it is one of the leading data backup software pieces on the web.
